Skins The game is locked to two maps only, being the Hanamura and King's Row reskins. This mode is basically identical to Mystery Heroes apart from the map. The goal is to either eliminate the Meis while playing as Winston or vice versa. Mei's ultimate is now almost identical to Junkrat's steel trap, though it will take five seconds to arm and is called a Yeti Trap. The team of five will have to play as Mei and the 'Yeti' will have to play as Winston. In this mode, it will be five against one. There are five rounds to battle it out! Yeti HunterĪnother arcade game mode, the Yeti Hunter. Mei's ultimate has been changed to give her unlimited ammo and an increased rate of fire. Once this ball is used you'll have to run round to the snow piles and reload. In this mode, each team has six players and they must all play as Mei.Īll hits that land are lethal and Mei's gun can only hold one snowball at a time. This is an arcade game mode which only makes an appearance during the Christmas event. Mei's Snowball Offensive should make a return, as should Yeti Hunter. Having more Damage players flexing over to Tanks and Supports more often should give them a deeper understanding of those heroes and perhaps remind themselves that a healer might not always be able to keep their health topped up when they dive into the enemy backline. Sure, a DPS main might bristle at the idea of playing as a Tank or Support, but they’ll be able to bank some priority passes and cut down queue times the next time they want to play in the Damage role. That’s a good thing! Having fewer players in the Damage waiting room and more in the Tank and Support lobbies should mean faster queue times for everyone. The Damage role almost always has the longest queue time, so opting for the Flex queue will probably lead to DPS players taking on a Tank or Healer role a bit more often. Blizzard says that “only roles experiencing high traffic will be eligible.” If you’re in a group in which all of the members are “queueing for high-traffic roles” and everyone uses a priority pass, your Overwatch queue time will be somewhat lower. You’ll be able to cash in one of these priority passes to jump the line the next time you want to play a specific role.
